Congratulations to Raph D after his first Olympic lifting meet this past Saturday at the Tommy Kono Open in Sacramento.  His best snatch was 81 kg (178 lbs) and his best clean-and-jerk was 110 kg (242 lbs) for a total of 191 kg (420 lbs).

In the video above, you can see Raph's three snatch attempts at 16:15, 18:20, and 25:40 (you'll also see CFO familiar face Brian R at 2:10).

strong work indeed!

Nice job!

Hey All:

Thank you very much for the support.  I wanted to represent the best of CFO at the competition and hope that I did so.  Next meet, I wanna hit a 225 kg total dammit! :o)

Cheers!

Nice job, Raph! Your progress is outstanding and doing these types of comps will lead to even greater progress- you're lifts looks Amazing, you definitely represented CFO well! Keep it up and you'll be a beast by next years Games!

Nice work, Raph;)  You seem very cool, calm and strong as nails in the video footage.... keep it up!  I've found Oly lifting extremely challenging, even after 4 years at this crossfit thing.  Your progress if very impressive!

great job Raf!  Where can i get one of those sexy outfits?  It'd be great for cfit wods

Dave,

I'm surprised you don't already own a pair...or three.

Great work Ralph!

Raph,

Awesome job.  Can I borrow your singlet?

Congratulations, Raph!  You have certainly been working hard on your Oly lifts and it totally shows.

It would be very cool to see Team CFO sport Manwell-designed singlets for their next competition, which would then create such demand that we could mass-produce them and sell them to fund future keg parties!!

Raph, you are sexy, sexy man. Don't ever forget that. Job well done.

Great to see you the outcome of all your hard work and training

!

That was pretty cool to watch, Raph - nice efforts on the snatch. And I, for one, think the singlet is a good look for you.

Very impressive, Raph!!

what?  Is my computer broken or is there no new blog post entry from our leaders?

Message to Brandon - hope you did what I was telling you about -

benchmark: (2.2%)

hedge: +6.7% as of 11:05am

There are times when I am inaccurate with the truth (and usually quite comfortable with it).

However, one of these times where I was not quite comfortable with it was today at the noon class.  In my zeal to achieve two little letters after my part B number, I neglected to accurately report my shoulder press weight.  80% of my five rep max is 108#, I used 95#....

So, my evening CFOers, my long time fitness friends, have no fear of my RX benchmark today....it is meaningless.
