Asian Pear Slaw

I have at least 400 of these sitting on my tree right now! I'll leave a big bag out for the taking on Tuesday morning.

ASIAN PEAR SLAW

2 celery ribs (cut into 1/4 inch matchsticks)

3 tablespoons fresh lime juice

2 tablespoons seasoned rice vinegar

1 teaspoon finely grated peeled fresh ginger

2 firm Asian pears, cut into 1/4 inch thick matchsticks

2 scallions, thinly sliced

1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves

1/2 teaspoon finely chopped fresh hot chili

Whisk together juice, vinegar, and ginger and stir in celery and remaining ingredients with salt and pepper to taste. 

Enjoy!

I love Asian pears!

I went to Gold's Gym again today and while I didn't have anyone suggest that I let my knees come in on the squat, it was still pretty interesting. Lots of strange, short range of motion exercises on bizarre equipment. I developed an acute, and fortunately short-lived, case of Tourette Syndrome. Every once in a while, I would uncontrollably yell, "Wichita Falls!" I would also twitch occasionally. Good times.

Kentucky Fried Chicken makes good slaw too.
