We will be having a FREE Community Day workout this Saturday, August 15th at 11a.m.! Robyn and Dawn will be serving up a workout for all levels.

Tomorrow's WOD (8/11/09):

"Old School"

4 Rounds:

21 Jumping Squats
21 Front Squats @ 95#/65#
3 Muscle-Ups
Run 400m

There's a 20-minute time limit on this workout.

Perform 10 pull-ups and 10 ring dips per round if you don't have muscle-ups.

This was the first workout ever done in a Bay Area Affiliate Throwdown. We did it way back in May 2008, and only a few people finished under the 20-minute time limit. The top time was turned in by Jason Khalipa at 14:46. Let's see how many finish under the time limit this time around!

If you do complete in under 20 minutes, don't plan on walking comfortably for a week. Have fun CFO...too bad I'm gonna miss this one;)

Oof. I remember that one. I was one of those who didn't make the 20-minute cutoff.

Justin, give me a call at CFO--can't find your email address!

Help! I need some framing and doors hung in the back rooms. does anyone know someone who could give us a bid for it?

don't really know what's "old school" about that workout. nice turnout for 6 AM, though. must have been close to 20 people in there. plenty o' bars and collars. thanks, mike & nicole. brought my sandbags and went light on the front squats. still remember the pain after trying it with 95, back in the day...

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good EMT course in the east bay (Contra Costa or Alameda county preferably)? Are the online courses any good?

post here or email me directly. thanks!

Allen

First post on the new site! Welcome!

check out Chabot, NCTI or any other junior college.  I dont know too much about the online classes.  I would think that they are a little harder because you meet to do the skills.  Also, San Francisco Paramedics Assoc.  just started an EMT program in conjunction with Berkeley Fire.  You might want to check that out.  Hope that helps

hurt so good.

Whoa... new site!!!

Thumbs up on the new site. I am glad I had a wedding dress fitting today and missed that WOD. =P

That's what rest days are for!  Mostly kidding, actually, but don't think you're gonna get out of today's workout that easily.
